This work is accompanied by notes from Mangkaja Arts, Fitzroy Crossing that states: ‘This is my country in the Great Sandy Desert. This place is called yarrnyili. There is living water here. The jila (permanent waterhole) is surrounded by high jilji (sandhills).’
