This work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Papunya Tula Artists which states:
'The roundels in this painting depict rockholes at the site of Tjikari, north-west of the Papunya Community. A large group of men gathered at this place for ceremonies. They had travelled from many different areas. Some of the men have been out hunting to get food for the assembled group. The artist has shown the weapons they used when they hunted the kangaroo and wallaby. The darker areas in the background design show where the men burnt off the vegetation in order to flush the game out into the open. The footprints show their movement within the area. The roundels are also used as a design for the decoration of the bodies of the men who are participating in the ceremonies.'
