This painting is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Maruku Arts, Uluru which reads in part, '...the Tjukurpa, the Law and stories of Ancestors... have responsibilities for the protection and teaching of different Tjukurpa and there are strict protocols for the imparting of knowledge...The Piltati Tjunkurpa belongs to the ranges in far northern South Australia... These are the two women. I have painted the places called Kanpi and Piltati: my country which holds important Creation Law. Mr Baker says he has painted a part of the Tjukurpa between his homeland of Kanpi and Piltati where the two women are lighting fires to smoke game from their burrows...'
