Catalogue text

Merne Alhalkere boasts a rich abundance, reflected through the varied and confident palette of a skilled colourist. Colours inspired by the flowers and fruits of Emily's country infuse this artwork with a live and vital energy. The powerful utilisation of colour captured on this canvas is inspired by several bush fruits, the plum 'Alkwa', the Bush tomato 'akatjera' and various acacia seeds and flowers come to mind.
