Catalogue text

This painting is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Red Rock Art which states: 'This painting depicts some of Eubena's traditional country located in the Great Sandy Desert located south west of Balgo. This country is found along the middle stretches of the Canning Stock Route around Kunnawarritji. The majority of the paintings shows the Talis (Sandhills) that dominate the landscape of the area. The central circles depict tjurnnu (soakwater) and are named from left to right Kinyu, Nyilpilya and Kunnawarritji. Kinyu the Spirit Dog lives at Kinyu tjurrnu and would watch over Eubena when she was hunting for Bilby in this country.'
