This painting is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Papunya Tula Artists which states 'This painting depicts designs associated with the site of Tjinalngna, south of Palturunya, which is east of Mt. Webb in Western Australia. In mythological times, one old woman, Kutungka Napanangka, passed through this site during her travels towards the east. She passed through numerous site along the way before arriving at the permanent water site of Muruntji, south-west of Mt. Liebig. This old woman is said to be a 'bit of a devil-devil' as she kills and eats people.'
